Pear Walnut Salad w/Blue Cheese

  • (1) bunch arugula, torn
  • (1) head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • (3) medium pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • (1/2 cup) buttermilk
  • (1/2 cup) blue cheese
  • (1) medium garlic clove, minced
  • (1/4 tsp.) ground black pepper
  • (3 Tbsp.) chopped walnuts, toasted

Pear Walnut Salad w/Blue Cheese

A tasty mixed green salad with pears, walnuts and homemade blue cheese dressing.

  1. 1To toast walnuts, preheat oven to 350°F. Spread walnuts out in a single layer on a baking sheet, bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. 2In a large salad bowl, combine the arugula, romaine lettuce and pears.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, blue cheese, garlic and pepper.
  4. 4Add the walnuts to the salad and serve with dressing on the side. Enjoy!
