  • (3 cups) French bread, cubed
  • (1 Tbsp.) water
  • (1 Tbsp.) white wine vinegar
  • (1 Tbsp.) reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • (1 1/4 tsp.) sugar
  • (1 tsp.) Crisco® Olive Oil
  • (1 1/2 cups) torn leaf lettuce
  • (1 large) tomato, chopped
  • (2 Tbsp.) cooked bacon, crumbled
  • (1 Tbsp.) green onion, chopped

BLT Salad w/Homemade Croutons

A simple bacon, lettuce and tomato salad in a sweet and creamy dressing with crunchy French bread croutons.

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread out bread cubes into an even layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
  2. 2Meanwhile, whisk together water, vinegar, mayonnaise, sugar and oil in a large bowl. Toss in lettuce, tomato and bread cubes. Add bacon and onion and serve.
