  • (1/2 cup) nonfat sour cream
  • (1 Tbsp.) honey
  • Pinch of ground cardamom or grated nutmeg
  • (2 large) golden delicious or other cooking apples, cored and halved lengthwise
  • (1 Tbsp.) lemon juice
  • (1/4 cup) quick-cooking rolled oats
  • (2 Tbsp.) brown sugar
  • (1 Tbsp.) diet tub-style margarine, softened
  • (1/2 tsp.) ground cinnamon

Warm Apples w/Oat Streusel

Halved apples topped with a spiced brown sugar oat streusel and served with a sweet cream sauce.

  1. 1Combine sour cream, honey and cardamom in a small bowl, cover and refrigerate.
  2. 2In a separate small bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, margarine and cinnamon. Toss apples in lemon juice, place into a 9 in. glass baking dish.

  3. 3Divide oat mixture evenly on top of each apple, microwave on High 3 minutes. Turn plate, microwave another 3-4 minutes. Set aside 3 minutes.

  4. 4Top with sour cream sauce and serve.
