Chocolate Cloud Pie

Ingredients:
  • (1/2 15-oz. package) refrigerated pie dough
  • (1 cup) packed brown sugar
  • (1/2 cup) unsweetened cocoa
  • (1 Tbsp.) all-purpose flour
  • (3/4 cup) 2% reduced-fat milk
  • (1/3 cup) light-colored corn syrup
  • (1 Tbsp.) butter, melted
  • (1 tsp.) vanilla extract
  • (2 large) whole eggs
  • (2 large) egg whites
  • (1 cup) frozen fat-free whipped topping, thawed
  • (1/2 tsp.) unsweetened cocoa

Chocolate Cloud Pie

A decadent chilled chocolate pie with airy whipped cream on top.

    Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. 2Place pie dough into a 9 in. pie plate, covering the bottom and sides. Crimp the edges, freeze until ready to use.
  3. 3In a large bowl, stir together brown sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa and flour. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together milk, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, eggs and egg whites.

  4. 4Add to brown sugar mixture, stir to combine. Pour into crust. Bake 40 minutes or until almost set.
  5. 5Cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Top with an even layer of whipped cream and 1/2 tsp. cocoa. Serve and enjoy.
