Sesame Soy Tofu Squares

  • (1 lb.) extra firm reduced-fat water-packed tofu, drained and cut into 1/2 in. cubes
  • (1 1/2 tsp.) vegetable oil
  • (1 tsp.) dark sesame oil
  • (2 Tbsp.) low-sodium soy sauce
  • (1 Tbsp.) rice vinegar

Sesame Soy Tofu Squares

Tofu sauteed in sesame oil and tossed in soy sauce and served chilled.

  1. 1Sandwich tofu between heavy-duty paper towels. Let sit 5 minutes, pressing every 1-2 minutes.
  2. 2Meanwhile, place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add oils. When hot, add tofu. Saute 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3Transfer to a large bowl. Add soy sauce and vinegar, toss, then cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, tossing occasionally. Serve on toothpicks.
