Ingredients:
  • (1/2 cup) egg substitute
  • (1/4 cup) fat-free milk
  • (1/4 tsp.) salt
  • (1/2 cup) sugar-free strawberry preserves
  • (8 slices) day-old white bread
  • Confectioners' sugar, optional

Strawberry French Toast Wedges

Warm Strawberry preserves spread between two slices of white bread and served with a dusting of confectioners' sugar.

    Instructions

  1. 1Spray a griddle with cooking spray and heat to medium heat.
  2. 2Top 4 slices of bread with preserves, sandwich with remaining bread. Cut off crusts, slice each sandwich into fourths.
  3. 3Whisk together egg substitute, milk and salt in a small bowl. Coat both sides of sandwiches in egg mixture and place on griddle.
  4. 4Cook 4 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Serve with a dusting of confectioners' sugar on top. Enjoy!
