Grab and Go Cereal Bars

  • (1/2 cup) dry roasted salted peanuts
  • (1/2 cup) roasted sunflower seeds or other chopped nuts
  • (2 cups) raisins or other chopped dried fruit
  • (2 cups) rolled or instant oats
  • (2 cups) toasted rice cereal, such as Rice Krispies
  • (1/4 cup) toasted wheat germ, optional
  • (1/2 cup) creamy or crunchy natural peanut butter
  • (1/2 cup) packed brown sugar
  • (1/2 cup) light corn syrup or honey
  • (1 tsp.) vanilla extract

Grab and Go Cereal Bars

Roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds, oats and rice cereal coated in a sweet peanut butter and honey mixture.

About 15 minutes (plus 1 hr resting)

About 2 minutes


  1. 1Spray a 9x13 in. baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. 2In a large bowl, mix together peanuts, sunflower seeds, raisins, oats, rice cereal and wheat germ.
  3. 3Place peanut butter, brown sugar and corn syrup into a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High 1-2 minutes. Stir in vanilla, pour over dry ingredients and toss.

  4. 4Press into an even layer on greased pan. Set aside 1 hour, cut into bars and serve.
