  • (8 oz.) pitted prunes
  • (8 oz.) dried apricots
  • (1/3 cup) raisins
  • (15 oz. can) pineapple chunks, undrained
  • (16 oz. can) cherry pie filling
  • (1/4 cup) dry sherry
  • (1 cup) water
  • (1/3 cup) blanched slivered almonds

Baked Fruit Topping w/Almonds

A delicious mixture of five kinds of fruit, dry sherry and almonds slow-cooked to perfection.

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine prunes, dried apricots, raisins, and pineapple chunks in a deep baking dish.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, mix together cherry pie filling, sherry and water. Stir into fruit along with almonds in baking dish.
  3. 3Cover and bake 1.5 hours. Enjoy as is or as a topping.
