FDA Warning: Black Licorice May Cause Heart Problems

Part of living a healthy lifestyle is regularly performing a variety of physical activities, consuming a well balanced whole foods diet that is nutritionally rich in vitamins and minerals, and ensuring that you get plenty of rest, relaxation, and sleep. In addition, depending on the individual, it is common that one of the specific aspects of living a healthy lifestyle will be consistently more challenging to achieve than the others.

FDA Issues Warning for 20 Natural Weight Loss Pills

With the overweight and obesity statistics continuing to increase in the United States it’s no wonder there are so many weight loss products on the market today. There are a couple of general categories that the weight loss products can be divided into: weight loss products that decrease the individuals appetite and weight loss products that stimulate the individuals metabolism.

Weight loss products that decrease an individuals appetite are intended to lower the number of total calories consumed per day to a value that is lower than the total number of calories that their body burns per day. In contrast, metabolism stimulants are designed to increase the body’s metabolism and hence, create an environment where the increase in the total number of calories burned per day by the body exceeds the total number of calories consumed by the individual per day.

From this point, a further classification across both types of weight loss pills can be made between all natural, or organic, and non-organic. So, as is evident, it is important to take the time to research the various weight loss pills to determine which type of weight loss pill they are and if there are any known health risks or side effects associated with them.
