5 Tips for Staying Healthy Over the Holidays
Holiday stress, a lack of sleep and the changing of the seasons can put a strain on your immune system, making you vulnerable to cold and flu germs that run rampant in crowded retail outlets. Add to that, families with children will have to ensure that they are taken care of as they will be on vacation from school. Your boss will undoubtedly have to adjust the office responsibilities and priorities as other individuals will most likely be using some of their vacation time to spend with their families.
In addition, many individuals and families will either have guests that will be spending the holidays with them or they are planning on traveling to spend the holidays with their friends or family. Either way, the commitments and effort required to entertain guests that are visiting or to pack up the family and visit relatives adds an additional level of stress to your holiday season.

Regularly consuming a healthy and nutritious breakfast is an excellent way start your day. Several benefits include refueling your body, improving concentration, enhancing your mood, assisting in maintaining a healthy weight, to name a few. In other words, breakfast is the centerpiece of a healthy diet.

Study: Walking can Reduce Chocolate Cravings
If you’re like many weight loss seekers, you might find yourself maintaining a fairly well disciplined dietary regimen, coupled with regularly performing an exercise routine, with the exception of a few key weaknesses, such as frequent cravings for chocolate.
Although eating a small amount of dark chocolate on a regular basis has been proven to boost your overall cardiovascular health, overindulging, without reducing your overall caloric intake or caloric expenditure, can cause you to quickly pack on the additional pounds thanks to chocolate’s high saturated fat and sugar content.
A new study is indicating that taking a short, brisk walk can significantly reduce chocolate cravings while providing some moderate physical exercise at the same time.

FDA: HCG Weight Loss Products are Dangerous
Weight loss seekers, listen up: Today the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) issued a warning stating that HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), a hormone found in some weight loss products, could be very dangerous, not to mention ineffective and illegal as well.
HCG is found naturally in pregnant women’s urine, and has been touted as the active ingredient in a variety of over-the-counter weight loss products that are offered in the form of sprays, tablets and oral droplets.
Seven HCG weight loss product companies, all of whom have received warning letters from the FDA and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), sell over-the-counter products containing HCG, advertising them as “natural” metabolism boosters.

5 Tips for Winter Skin Care
Virtually everyone likes to maintain a well groomed, youthful, and vibrant appearance throughout the year as well as from year to year as they age. There are several factors that contribute to the “healthiness” of our outward appearance. These factors can be divided into two primary groups.
The first group is a more macro based set of factors and include genetics, nutrition, physical activity, and rest, relaxation, and sleep. In combination, these factors will support not only a healthy body but, the internal bodily functions that are required to sustain life itself, as well as optimal health from day to day.
The second group is considered a micro based set of factors and include climate conditions, exposure to the sun and wind, pollution, and other criteria related to the are in which you live.
