Salami Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:
  • (8 slices) rye bread
  • (4 tsp.) sharp, hot mustard
  • (1/2 small head) radicchio, thinly sliced
  • (1/2 Tbsp.) balsamic vinegar
  • (1/4 lb.) hard salami, thinly sliced
  • (1/2 lb.) Jarlsberg cheese, thinly sliced
  • (4 tsp.) butter, melted

Salami Grilled Cheese

Jarlsberg cheese and thin salami melted between two slices of pressed rye bread with hot mustard.

    Instructions

  1. 1In a small bowl, toss sliced radicchio with vinegar.
  2. 2Heat a panini press (or medium nonstick skillet) to medium heat.
  3. 3Top 4 slices of bread with mustard, 3 slices salami and 3 slices of cheese. Sandwich together, brush both sides with melted butter.
  4. 4Grill 4 minutes, turning once. If using a skillet, top sandwiches with a heavy skillet and several heavy cans to press. Cut in half and serve.
