Sweet Grilled Pork Roast

  • (1/2 cup) plum preserves
  • (2 Tbsp.) soy sauce
  • (1 Tbsp.) snipped fresh sage or (1/2 tsp.) dried crushed sage
  • (1 Tbsp.) lemon juice
  • (1 Tbsp.) cooking oil
  • (2 lbs.) boneless pork top loin roast (single loin)

  1. 1Preheat grill to medium-low.
  2. 2In a small saucepan, combine plum preserves, soy sauce, sage, lemon juice and cooking oil.
  3. 3Heat, stirring occasionally until preserves melt.
  4. 4To prepare the roast, trim the fat away and insert a meat thermometer in the center of the roast.
  5. 5Put the roast on a rack in a roasting pan on the grill over medium-low heat.
  6. 6Cover and cook for a little over an hour or until the thermometer is just over 160°F. After 30 minutes, brush the glaze on the meat every 10 minutes.
  7. 7Let rest about 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
