Ingredients:
  • (1 loaf) wheat, sourdough or French bread, unsliced
  • (1/2 cup) light cream cheese, softened
  • (1/2 cup) reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • (1/3 cup) green onions, chopped
  • (1 Tbsp.) light mayonnaise
  • (1 1/2 tsp.) Worcestershire sauce
  • (1/2 lb.) extra lean ham, thinly sliced
  • (1/2 lb.) lean roast beef, thinly sliced
  • (6 large slices) dill pickle

Ham and Roast Beef Sub

A hollowed out bread loaf spread with a creamy cheese sauce, lean ham, roast beef and dill pickles.

    Instructions

  1. 1Use a serrated bread knife to cut the bread length-wise down the center, then use your hands to hollow out both sides.
  2. 2Whisk together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl. Spread onto both sides of bread.
  3. 3Top with an even layer each of ham, pickles and roast beef. Sandwich both halves together.
  4. 4Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours, cut and serve.
