Peanut Steak and Cabbage Stir-Fry

Ingredients:
  • (1/4 cup) smooth natural peanut butter
  • (1/3 cup) orange juice
  • (3 Tbsp.) reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • (1 Tbsp.) rice vinegar
  • (2 tsp.) sugar
  • (4 tsp.) canola oil, divided
  • (3 cloves) garlic, minced
  • (1 lb.) sirloin steak, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • (1 small head) Savoy cabbage, thinly sliced
  • (2 Tbsp.) water
  • (2 medium) carrots, grated
  • (1/4 cup) unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped (optional)

Peanut Steak and Cabbage Stir-Fry

A delicious sirloin steak and Savoy cabbage stir-fry in a sweet and savory peanut butter orange sauce.

    Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, whisk together peanut butter, orange juice, soy sauce, vinegar and sugar, set aside.
  2. 2Place a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 2 tsp. oil. When hot, add garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Stir in steak, cook 2-4 minutes or to desired done-ness. Remove from pan, set aside.

  3. 3Add 2 tsp. oil to pan and reduce heat to medium. Stir in cabbage and 2 Tbsp. water. Cook another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4Add carrots and more water, if necessary. Cook another 3 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5Return steak and peanut sauce to pan, toss and serve with peanuts, if desired.
