Honey-Lime Steak Fajitas

Ingredients:
  • (1/4 cup) lime juice
  • (3 Tbsp.) honey
  • (1 Tbsp.) reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • (2 tsp.) sesame oil
  • (2 tsp.) fresh gingerroot, minced
  • (1 1/2 tsp.) fresh cilantro, minced
  • (1 lb.) beef top sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • (1/4 tsp.) salt
  • (1/4 tsp.) pepper
  • (1 medium) onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • (1 large) green pepper, julienned
  • (1 large) sweet red pepper, julienned
  • (4) flour tortillas (8 in. diameter), warmed
  • (2 oz.) reduced-fat cream cheese
  • (2 tsp.) sesame seeds, toasted

Honey-Lime Steak Fajitas

Warm flour tortillas filled with thin strips of sirloin steak marinated in Asian flavors, veggies, cream cheese and toasted sesame seeds.

    Instructions

  1. 1Whisk together lime juice, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, gingerroot and cilantro in a small bowl. Pour 1/3 cup into a large ziplock bag.
  2. 2Place beef in bag, seal and coat meat with marinade. Refrigerate 1 hour. Stir salt and pepper into rest of marinade, cover and chill.
  3. 3Spray a large, nonstick skillet or wok with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat. Place beef in skillet and stir-fry until browned. Set aside on a plate with a foil tent.

  4. 4Add onion and peppers to pan, cook until crisp-tender. Add chilled marinade and beef, cook until heated.
  5. 5Top each tortilla with cream cheese, beef and sesame seeds. Roll up and serve.
