Ingredients:
  • (2 slices) whole-wheat country bread, crusts removed, torn into pieces
  • (1/3 cup) fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries
  • (1 Tbsp.) balsamic vinegar
  • (2 tsp.) Dijon mustard
  • (1 tsp.) Worcestershire sauce
  • (2 cloves) garlic, minced
  • (1/4 tsp.) salt, or to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • (12 oz.) 90%-lean ground beef

Berry Beef Burgers

Lean ground beef patties made with sweet blueberries and tangy Dijon mustard.

    Instructions

  1. 1Pulse bread in a food processor until fine. Pour into large bowl and set aside.
  2. 2Puree blueberries, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire, garlic, salt and pepper in food processor until smooth. Add to breadcrumbs with ground beef, mix well.

  3. 3Preheat outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat. Form meat mixture into 4 equal patties.
  4. 4Grill 8-10 minutes, turning once. Serve on whole-wheat rolls.*
