Baked Ribs w/Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:
  • (2 1/2 lb.) boneless country-style pork ribs
  • (2 1/4 tsp.) Liquid Smoke, optional
  • (1 tsp.) salt
  • (1 cup) water
  • (1 Tbsp.) canola oil
  • (2/3 cup) onion, chopped
  • (3/4 cup) water
  • (3/4 cup) ketchup
  • (1/3 cup) lemon juice
  • (3 Tbsp.) sugar
  • (3 Tbsp.) Worcestershire sauce
  • (2 Tbsp.) prepared mustard
  • (1/2 tsp.) pepper

Baked Ribs w/Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Boneless country-style pork ribs baked and basted with an easy, homemade barbecue sauce until tender and juicy.

    Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 11x7 in. baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. 2Place ribs in baking dish. Top with 2 tsp. liquid smoke, salt and water. Cover and bake 1 hour, drain.
  3. 3Place a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add oil. When hot, add onion and saute until tender.
  4. 4Add remaining ingredients and 1/4 tsp. Liquid Smoke. Bring to a boil, then simmer on medium-low for 15 minutes, or until thickened.
  5. 5Spread half of barbecue sauce on ribs, cover and bake another hour, basting every 20 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
